2. Pronunciation

You only need to fill in the pronunciation box if the baby's name is unusual or there is more than one way to pronounce it. There are 2 options for telling us how to pronounce an unusual baby name:

• You could write the name phonetically in the pronunciation box e.g. "a - liss- a" for the name Alyssa or "ee - va" for the name Eva.  
• Alternatively, you could use a celebrity's name as a reference e.g. "Eva as in Eva Cassidy"
