Top 10 Baby Names
A recent survey of the most popular baby names by the babycentre.co.uk revealed that traditional names linked to the Royal family, have become less popular in the run up to, and after the naming of Prince George.
The latest top 10 baby names results indicate that within 4 weeks of Prince George’s birth, the popularity of George as a name dropped from 9th place, to number 13, representing a 20 per cent drop.
It was not just the name George that saw a drop in baby name popularity either, both William and Kate also lost ground on parent’s fears of being copy cats in the baby naming game, and even Harry took a 31 per cent tumble from previous years, but still remains within the top 5 boy baby names.
